COVID-19 Guide for Returning to the Workplace

Loyola University New Orleans has enacted new protocols and policies in response to the COVID-19 global health crisis in order to help maintain a safe work environment for our faculty, staff, students, and greater New Orleans community. The goal of this document is to give Loyola employees the tools they need to prioritize safety on our campus as we return to the workplace.

Loyola’s plans for returning to work will be aligned with all orders from the City of New Orleans, State of Louisiana, and recommendations from the federal government and Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as well as guidance from Ochsner Health System.

Please note that we will continue to update this guide as we learn more about COVID-19 and government officials release new orders. We appreciate your flexibility and cooperation to make Loyola a safe and informed workplace.

Plan for Return

In order to maintain a safe density level on campus to allow for proper social distancing practices, Loyola will return staffing to campus incrementally to meet critical operational needs. Decisions to expand on-campus staffing will depend on availability of testing and personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as changes to citywide restrictions on large gatherings.
