COVID-19 Vaccine Info

Effective Monday, March 29, everyone in Louisiana ages 18 and older is eligible to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The Pfizer vaccine is available to those 16 and older. Check our Vaccine FAQs for more information and follow the steps below for resources to make your vaccine appointment.

Don’t forget to complete your vaccination survey to let Loyola know if you’ve already been vaccinated or if you plan to get your vaccine in the future. Upon completion of the survey, you will receive an email with a personalized link to your survey responses. Please keep this email. If your vaccination status changes, use the link provided to update your survey so we can maintain an up-to-date record of vaccinations. The link is unique to you and secured to maintain your privacy. If you have additional questions you can reach a Public Health Coordinator via email at

Step 1: Find a Vaccine Location

Use the national Vaccine Finder to search for a vaccination location according to your zip code and see the available vaccines at each location. The Louisiana Department of Health also has a listing of vaccination locations in Louisiana organized by the parish.

Step 2: Make Your Vaccine Appointment

Once you find the vaccine location you would like to use, you will need to make an appointment. The process is slightly different for each location, so be sure to follow the steps provided. We’ve included instructions below for some of the vaccine locations near Loyola.

At your appointment:

  • You’ll receive a vaccination card that tells you what COVID-19 vaccine you received, the date, and the location. Keep your card in a safe place for future use.
  • You’ll receive a fact sheet that tells you more about the specific COVID-19 vaccine you are receiving to help you understand the risks and benefits.
